You are a new creation!
1 Peter 1:3-5 – “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.”
You certainly are a new creation, old things have passed away and all things have been made new. When Jesus gave His life on the Cross, He conquered everything that we would ever face in our life. So the victory is not yours, but it is His. Putting your hope and trust in Him means that your relationship with Him can never be broken, you are bought with a price – purchased by the precious Blood of the Lamb. Just like the scripture says, you have turned my mourning into dancing, my sorrow into joy. For the first time in my life-when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior-I experienced pure joy. This life can throw a multitude of hurts, and re-living traumatic events, many disappointments and set backs. Fear not, however dear child of the most high King, He has overcome the world. There is nothing, not death or even life, that can separate you from our Lord and Savior. I just wanted to drop a line of encouragement to anybody out there facing any challenge, or going through a difficult circumstance that you are already MORE than a conqueror in Christ Jesus! When you pray to Him, He isn’t offended by your tears, or angry that you don’t have it all together. Cry out to Him from the very depths of your soul, and place all the burdens of your life at His feet. Every area of your life, He is concerned about and cares for you more than any person ever could. That is why, they called Him a man acquainted with sorrows. He knows what has hurt you before it even came into your life, He knew the beginning and He knows the glorious end you will have in Him. So, allow Him to carry you through this time. I always say, OK Jesus, today I cannot bear alone, but I already know that you already bore my today on the Cross – so Jesus take over my today, have complete control. I give you every possible chance that I may turn away from you and fall short, and allow your Holy Spirit to guide me.
Precious children of the most high King – pray to Him as if you’re having a normal conversation, telling Him what He already knows. 🙂
